Book Hound Club Awarded Dollar General Grant |

 Book hounds Murphy and Marley have a nose for finding books for the children who visit the Newcomerstown Public Library. With the help of library staff member, Margaret Hirschfeld, the dogs applied for a Dollar General Literacy Grant to fund The Book Hound Club reading program and purchase books for area children to enjoy.
Margaret Hirschfeld received email notification of the award on August 20th. The $2,500 grant will be used to purchase books for the library as well as other supplies and trophies for children who complete the 2011 summer Book Hound Club reading program. |
