Help the Newcomerstown Library! Due to the funding cuts, we had to take drastic actions to cut costs. Among them includes discontinuing subscriptions to several magazines and newspapers, and putting a freeze on new items. We are asking for your help. We are looking for donors who would like to pay for a subscription to a magazine or newspaper, or consider purchasing books or videos through us, then be the first one to check them out. Below is a list of periodicals that are slated to be canceled.
Friends of the Library - A great way to get involved in helping the library is to join the Friends of the Library, an organization that holds book sales and other events to raise money, as well as acting as advocates for the library in the community and helping to get the word out about the services we provide. You can join at the door, during any of the book sales at the library, or call the library to be put in touch with a Friends of the Library Board Member. 740-498-8228. Donating Used Books- We will gladly accept good used books, videos, and cd's that we can use to resell at our monthly book sale. Monetary Donations- Please make checks payable to the Newcomerstown Public Library and mail them to 123 East Main Street, Newcomerstown, Ohio 43832. All monetary donations are tax deductible Donating New Books, Movies or CDs- Below is our Amazon Wish List for books we would like to add to our collection. |
