American National Biography  (card required for home access) This database offers biographical sketches of more than 19,000 men and women whose lives helped to shape the United States throughout its history. It is updated quarterly, with hundreds of new entries each year and revisions of previously published entries to enhance their accuracy and currency. The site also contains thousands of illustrations and hyperlinked cross-references to selected web sites. |
